Client Advisory Services (CAS) Senior

Full Time

 

The CAS Senior is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting for the firm’s clients. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements. The CAS Senior supervises the Staff and Bookkeepers in the CAS Department and oversees the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll cycles, and is responsible for managing the team to ensure that work is properly allocated and completed in a timely and accurate manner. This position addresses tight deadlines and many accounting activities, including general ledger preparation, financial reporting, year-end client tax and audit projects, and the support of budget and forecast activities. The CAS Senior will have contact with clients and is encouraged to always look for cross-selling opportunities.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Prepare month-end closing journal entries, monthly financial statements, and monthly budgets and forecasting with continued maintenance
  • Responsible for gathering audit documentation and support requested by outside auditors
  • Lead special projects as assigned by supervisor and work with supervisor to develop and maintain procedures and checklists to facilitate client and department work
  • Reconcile client records to trial balance, which may include analytical procedures, and perform schedule computations of prepaids, accruals, property and equipment, and calculate depreciation expense
  • Responsible for overseeing clerical and administrative tasks for department, with expectation of setting schedule and organizing work according to workloads and budgets
  • Communicate budget and priorities with partners/managers while being able to identify separately billable time and cross-selling opportunities
  • Participate in department meetings/discussions and assist with internal training
  • Begin to take charge of client relationships and be primary contact for clients
  • Build productive relationships with staff, other seniors, supervisors, managers, and principals by keeping teams informed of work progress and adapting to various management styles
  • Become familiar with the firm’s policies, procedures, mission, and values
  • Stay up-to-date on industry-specific/niche group journals and firm library sources
  • Learn about the firm’s service capabilities so they can be offered to clients in appropriate circumstances

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Proficiency in use of computers and accounting software (mainly Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, FloQast, Bill.com)
  • Understanding of the rules, regulations, and Code of Professional Conduct of the AICPA
  • Well-rounded knowledge and understanding of accounting principles, AP, AR, and Payroll processes, specifically within non-profit organizations
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in English

Audit Senior (GOV/NPO)

We are seeking 2 experienced Audit Seniors to join our growing firm. These roles are ideal for professionals with 3+ years of public accounting experience performing increasingly challenging accounting and audit work who enjoy leading engagements, mentoring staff, and continuing to grow professionally. These roles offer the opportunity to lead challenging engagements, work directly with clients and firm leadership, mentor developing staff, and continue growing both technically and professionally. (There are 2 open positions, 1 within the Non-Profit Audit department and 1 within our Government Audit department. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead the day-to-day execution of audit engagements, including planning, fieldwork, wrap-up, and related deliverables.

Tax Administrative Assistant

As a key member of our support team, this position will be responsible for overseeing the processing of complex tax returns, payroll & sales tax reports, assembling monthly financial statements and property tax statements. Under the direction of the Tax Department Manager, the Tax Admin Assistant will also oversee outstanding tax due lists, type correspondence, proof reports, process engagement letters and client organizers, as well as provide support for multiple partners and accounting staff.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide support for multiple partners and accounting staff
  • Assemble complex tax returns, financial statements, and payroll reports
  • E-file tax returns and monitor status of successfully completed vs. rejected returns
  • Correct rejected tax returns and if unable to, forward to tax preparer for resolution/resubmission
  • Monitor pending authorization forms and place follow-up calls to client for reminders
  • Contact clients when tax return is complete to arrange pick-up, mailing and eSignature options

  • Monthly Billing for the Tax Department as well as Bank Deposits for the Firm
